For their first Light Shows BEV called upon the assistance of Ray Anderson of ‘The Matrix’ and Founder of ‘The Holy See’ Light Shows in San Francisco.
‘The Million Volt Light and Sound Rave (which is sometimes referred to as The Carnival of Light Rave) was an art festival which was organised by Binder Edwards & Vaughan as a showcase for electronic music and light shows’.

This event featured the world premier of what has been dubbed the Beatles most significant experiment in the avant-garde. “The Beatles set to work on preparing an effects tape for the Carnival of Light Rave. Paul took charge of the creation. The Beatles had never made a recording quite like this before. It lasted 14 minutes, the longest uninterrupted Beatles recording”.

Other performers included Jimmy Hendrix, The Soft Machine and Delia Derbyshire’s Unit Delta Plus an offshoot from The Radiophonic Workshop who’s group only lasted a year…’they staged some of the earliest concerts consisting entirely of electronic and tape music. Famously, the group performed at the Million Volt Light and Sound Rave in 1967 a four-day electronic music event’.
